Creative Director, Oleene Wells, purchased a confectionery shop in Palmerston North's Plaza shopping mall, on a whim, 20 years ago. Since then she's been like a kid in the proverbial candy store, transforming her delicious business into the Munchkins we've come to know and love.

She opened the doors to her Broadway store in 1997 and began sweetening the city slice by slice. Word soon spread of Munchkins' decadent delights and in 2010 Oleene opened a kiosk in the refurbished Plaza.

Faced with the arduous task of taste-testing new fudge and chocolate flavours, the team at Munchkins doesn't even flinch. They're continually sacrificing their taste buds to bring you the best of the best, and they're doing it with a smile.
